Becky's Garden

bg_main A memorial garden has been created to raise public awareness on the tragedy of preventable healthcare harm. It is dedicated in memory of patients who have died, and in recognition of patients who have been injured and live with the lingering emotional and physical effects.

The garden has been designed with four sections of flowers which honor:

Children
Spouses
Siblings and friends
Elders

The lives represented in the garden illustrate the need to advocate for ourselves - to be empowered patients - in order to prevent potential harm. Patients and families are encouraged to visit the Empowered Patient Coalition website to learn strategies to help them safely navigate the healthcare system.
